Jelly Roll just displayed his growth in life apart from reaching the heights of country music fame.

The 39-year-old Son of a Sinner crooner, has not only released successful albums like the Whitsitt Chapel and Ballads of the Broken but has also won various accolade at the 2023 and 2024 CMT Awards.

However, Jelly Roll never forgot the struggles he endured and the life that he has now emerged from. After a few bad decisions and finding himself in juvenile, the singer decided to give today’s troubled youth a second chance.

He has now inaugurated a music studio at Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center, Nashville, the place where Jelly Roll had found himself locked up back in his childhood.

According to American Songwriter, the Mayor of Freddie O’Connell introduced the Save Me hit-maker to the attendees.

Jelly Roll admitted, “I never would’ve dreamed when I was sitting right there that I would one day come back and introduce the studio and partner with the Beat of Life and all these songwriters would come out to support the cause and the f****** mayor would introduce me. I would never guess this. It wasn’t in my bingo card in life.”
