Keke Palmer and SZA are set to grace the screen again but this time in a comedy buddy film.
The duo last shared the screen for Saturday Night Live in 2022, where Palmer tuned in as the host while SZA was the musical guest. Now the pair is tapped by Issa Rae for a project.
As reported by Variety, the unnamed project is helmed by Lawrence Lamont with Syreeta Singleton working on its screenplay as well as production along with Issa, Sara Diya Rastogi, Denise Davis’ ColorCrative’s, and Charles D. King, Poppy Hanks, James Lopez’s MACRO Film Studio.
The plot of the movie remains to be disclosed along with additional casting announcements.
As for the two protagonists, SZA is a multiple Grammy-winning artist who will mark her acting debut with this project.
On the other hand, Palmer is not new to the industry as she has other movie credits under her belt including True Jackson, VP, Akeelah and the Bee and Nope.
