Nicholas Galitzine recently opened up about the personal challenges due to his career.
During an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Galitzine, who stars alongside Anne Hathaway in the new romance film The Idea of You, talks about his character in the film.
His character, Hayes Campbell, a famous pop star, experiences with loneliness and the difficulty of making real connections due to his fame which relates to some of Galitzine’s own challenges.
“I am acutely aware that I am so lucky to do the job that I do, but it, like any job, has its pitfalls, the transience of the job, never really being in the same place at the same time as maybe family or relationships, can be really difficult, really straining,” he said.
In the film, Hayes himself struggling to form true bonds while touring and living in the spotlight which mirror Galitzine’s own personal challenges.
Galitzine emphasized on the importance of having a stable support system, stating, “It’s why it’s important to have people in your life who keep you grounded and keep your energy up, keep you going, It’s also important to take breaks and have time to yourself as a human being as well.”
The Idea of You, based on the 2017 novel by Robinne Lee, is set to release on May 2.
