Usher was expected to perform and the Lovers & Friends festival along with a star-studded line-up of artists
Usher just expressed his sentiments over the cancellation of his upcoming performance.
The 45-year-old singer stated that he was just as “disappointed” as his fans after his star-studded Lovers & Friends festival was canceled hours before it was supposed to kick off.
He took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to pen down his frustration after the festival management announced that the concert which was supposed to begin on Saturday had been cancelled due to bad weather.
“Mannn…I’m just as disappointed as you are. We were getting ready to turn up and celebrate today,” The U Got It Bad crooner tweeted.
However, Usher added that he was supposed to “follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service for everyone’s protection.”
The Yeah singer also stated that he is standing “strong” in his belief that “everything happens for a reason.”
“I’m sorry we won’t get to see each other today, but know that I am always working on something to express my heartfelt gratitude for each and every one of you who continue to support me,” he continued.
“I’ll see you soon,” Usher signed off.
